Multi-Country Africa Tours and Safari Itineraries

A multi-country Africa tour combines two or more African destinations into a single seamless itinerary, coordinated by a single operator. This approach lets you follow wildlife across borders (e.g., the Great Migration between Kenya’s Masai Mara and Tanzania’s Serengeti), pair a safari with a beach island retreat, or link iconic landmarks such as Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta, and the Pyramids of Giza — all within one trip.

Hallmark Travel Planners designs, books, and operates fully customised multi-country safaris for 2026 and 2027, with departures available on any date and itineraries scalable from 10 to 21+ days.

Customizable Multi-Destination Africa Safari Tours 2026 -2027

Africa is so diverse and that means if you get a chance to visit, it would be a great idea to see as much as one can see and visit as many places as possible.  A multi-country tour to Africa is one way of getting the best out of your trip.

We provide seam-less operations and hassle-free Planning of tours and wildlife safaris to multiple African destinations . . . . . Africa is a vast continent spanning over 5,000 miles from north-south and over 4,800 miles east-west.

Diversity in Travel
The diversity in terms of cultures, landscapes, religion and wildlife is un-matched. One of the best ways to see what the African continent has to offer is to take in the best of all its destinations – a multi-country approach from north to south, or east to west. For many travelers, a journey to any part of Africa is a trip of a lifetime, an adventure worth staying as long as one can and visiting as many destinations as possible. Take a look at this 14 Days Trip covering Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Masai Mara in Kenya and Serengeti in Tanzania.  Or this other one that visits Rwanda, Tanzania and Zanzibar  for Gorillas, Big 5 and Beach.  Of course, unless time had no hand in a traveler’s plans, it would be impossible to visit every place one might wish to see.

Hallmark Travel Planners offers you this opportunity. Backed by seasoned travel experts, we are pleased to answer any questions you may have. But will also be delighted to make the travel arrangements necessary for that adventure you are looking for.

Signature Multi-Country Experiences — Detailed Overview

1. The Great Migration Corridor: Kenya + Tanzania

The wildebeest Great Migration is the world’s largest terrestrial mammal migration, involving approximately 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebra, and 200,000 Thomson’s gazelle cycling continuously between the Serengeti (Tanzania) and Masai Mara (Kenya). The circuit spans roughly 1,800 km annually.

  • Jan–Mar: Calving season in southern Serengeti (Ndutu area); 8,000+ wildebeest born daily at peak
  • Jun–Jul: Herds move north through western Serengeti corridor; first river crossings begin
  • Aug–Oct: Peak Mara River crossings at Masai Mara; best window for dramatic crossing photography

Recommended itinerary: 14 days combining Amboseli (Kenya) + Serengeti + Ngorongoro Crater (Tanzania), with optional Zanzibar beach extension.

2. Southern Africa Circuit: Zimbabwe + Zambia + Botswana

Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall by combined width (1,708 m) and height (108 m), is best viewed from the Zimbabwean side (broader view) during high water (Feb–May) or from the Zambian side for activities like white-water rafting. Chobe National Park in northern Botswana hosts Africa’s largest elephant population — estimated at 130,000 animals — and is best accessed on a river safari from Kasane.

The Okavango Delta (Botswana) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site: a 15,000 km² inland river delta forming a unique freshwater ecosystem in the Kalahari Desert. Access is exclusively by light aircraft and traditional mokoro (dugout canoe), making it one of Africa’s most exclusive and ecologically sensitive safari destinations.

3. Gorilla Trekking + Big 5: Rwanda + Kenya + Tanzania

Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park protects approximately 400 mountain gorillas — roughly one third of the global mountain gorilla population (~1,063 as of the 2018 census). Gorilla trekking involves guided hikes of 1–8 hours through steep Virunga volcano terrain (2,500–4,500 m altitude), with one permitted hour in the presence of a habituated gorilla family. Rwanda charges USD $1,500 per permit (2024 rate); Uganda charges USD $800.

This corridor is optimally combined with a fly-in Serengeti safari and a three-night Zanzibar beach finale for a complete contrast itinerary spanning rainforest primates, open-savannah predators, and Indian Ocean reef diving.

4. Egypt + East Africa: Ancient Wonders + Modern Wildlife

Cairo’s Giza Plateau hosts the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World — the Great Pyramid of Khufu (c. 2560 BC), standing 138.8 m. A Nile River cruise between Luxor and Aswan passes 30+ temples and tombs, including Karnak Temple (the largest religious complex ever built, covering 100 hectares) and the Valley of the Kings (containing 63 known royal tombs). Pair this with a Masai Mara fly-in safari for one of Africa’s most contrasting multi-country itineraries.
