2 Days Short Safari to Masai Mara
The Masai Mara National Reserve in the south western part of Kenya forms part of the greater eco-system that encompasses the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Masai Mara is named for the Maasai people and the Mara River, which divides it. The wildlife is not confined within the reserve’s boundaries.
The entire area of the park is nestled within the enormous Great Rift Valley. The Masai Mara Reserve consists of open savannah, rolling grasslands and undulating hills. The western border is the Esoit Olooloo Escarpment of the Rift Valley, and wildlife tends to be most concentrated here as the swampy ground means that access to water is always good and tourist disruption is minimal. The easternmost border is 224km from Nairobi and hence it is the eastern regions which are most visited. There are numerous private conservancies bordering the Masai Mara, extending the eco system’s size.

Day 1: Drive Nairobi to Masai Mara
0500 hours, pick up from your hotel. You will have packed breakfast to take along the way.
Depart for Masai Mara national park, driving through the Great Rift Valley along the Nakuru Highway. There will be a brief stopover at View point where you will have a spectacular view of the rift valley floor.
You will arrive in the afternoon for check in at the camp and sign in at the parks gate and then proceed with afternoon game drives .Be keen as you drive through the park in search animals popularly known for the wildebeest migration from Serengeti in Tanzania in July –October. Be keen to spot the wildebeests, zebras, lion, cheetah, elephant, and buffalo, Thompson’s gazelle, hyena, black-backed and side-striped jackals, impala, bat-eared foxes, baboons, warthog, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, water buck, reed-buck, hippo, crocodile and elands.

Day 2: Drive Masai Mara to Nairobi – Masai Mara
Depart early in the morning from the camp after breakfast for the final morning game drive through the Masai Mara Reserve. After the game drive, check out of the park and sign out of the arks gate then depart for Nairobi taking lunch en-route. You shall arrive in the evening early enough to catch your flight or you shall be dropped off at the Hotel to mark the end of this unforgettable Safari
