Day 1: Arrival Tanzania

On arrival at the airport Kilimanjaro, you clear the process of immigration and customs before you are met by our representative and transferred across to your hotel for the night – Mount Meru Hotel.

Situated at the foothills of Mount Meru in the city of Arusha, the Mount Meru Hotel lies on 15 acres of serene and lush landscape. As the topographic centre-piece of the Arusha National Park, the hotel is also surrounded by some of Africa’s most breathtaking vistas, rich with a diverse array of wildlife, etched against the fertile slopes of this beautiful mountain, the fifth highest peak in Africa.

Day 2: Morning Tour of Arusa – Afternoon to Ngorongoro Area

Breakfast at your hotel in Arusha. Check out of the hotel and take a tour of Arusha Town. The main features of Arusha will begin somewhere around the Clock Tower, on foot, with one of our guides and will usually begin walking northwards in an anti-clockwise direction, taking in such sites at the Natural History Museum, various monuments celebrating independence, the local market, and some craft shops.

After lunch in Arusha, depart for Ngorongoro Area. You arrive in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast we will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater to view wildlife for a full day crater tour. Picnic lunch inside the crater.

Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams lodge.

Day 4: Road Transfer Ngorongoro to Serengeti

After breakfast we start with a drive to the Serengeti national park, expecting to arrive you lodge in time for lunch . On the way, there’s a lot to observe: More than 1.5 million wildebeest and 700 000 zebras are on their way here if we pass by at the time of the famous annual migration. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Mawe Camp.

Day 5: Serengeti Game Drives

Our day starts with a morning game drive in Serengeti. For animals, that’s an active time of the day – not hot yet, so there is a lot to see out there.

Full day game viewing Dinner and Overnight in the lodge. Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat.

Day 6: Road Transfer Serengeti to Lake Manyara

After breakfast check out and leave with picnic lunch boxes for Serengeti and drive back by road to the Lake Manyara National Park.

We head into the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive, but shallow, soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions (rare), as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Before sunset, drive to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Tour Karatu- Transfer to Moshi – Overnight

After breakfast at your lodge, take a a tour of Karatu, where you will visit various businesses such as the market, a local bar and hair salon, and observe daily life in this African town.

You’ll return to Moshi via Arusha in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Airport Planet Hotel.

Day 8: Flight from Moshi to Mauritius

This morning, you transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport arriving in time to check in for your scheduled flight to Mauritius

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the magnificent 20 Degres Sud Boutique Hotel where you spend the next 4 nights.

Days 9 to 11:  Mauritius

Hôtel 20° SUD is just 1 km from Pointe aux Canonniers. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens are a 20-minute drive away and SSR International Airport is 1 hour and 20 minutes’ drive away.

This property also has one of the best-rated locations in Grand Baie! Guests are happier about it compared to other properties in the area.

Hôtel 20° SUD offers intimate luxury accommodation along a private beach at the mouth of Grand Baie. The elegant suites and rooms all come with a terrace and views of the sea or garden as well as en suite bathrooms with a bath. The suites also feature a private plunge pool or a spa bath.

Day 12: Departure

On the last day in Mauritius, transfer from hotel to the airport for flight back home.
