Take this 2-week african safari to Kenya and Tanzania. The trip begin with safari in Kenya’s Lewa Conservancy area, where you stay 3 nights. After Lewa, you drive to Shaba Game Reserve in Samburu for another 2 nights. Then drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy for 1 nights followed by 1 night at Soysambu Conservancy.
From the Greati Rift Valley, drive to out to Masai Mara with accommodation in one of the most luxurious safari camps – Sand Rivers Mara CAmp. Stay at the Mara for the next 2 nights, then cross into Tanzania’s Serengeti for 2 nights. Visit the Crater at Ngorongoro before returning to Nairobi at the end of the trip.

Day 1 – Arrival Nairobi
On arrival at the airport, Hallmark Travel Planners representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel – Tamarind Tree Hotel.
Day 2: Flight Nairobi – Lewa Conservancy
After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport Nairobi and fly by light aircraft to Lewa Conservancy. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to Lewa Safari. Camp.

Day 3: Lewa Conservancy
Early morning and late afternoon game drives. Visitors to Lewa are privy to some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing that Kenya has to offer: lion, leopard and jackal thrive on the rich diversity of prey that inhabits the area.
The Wildlife Conservancy is home to the largest concentration of Grevy’s zebra in the world, and its range of habitats attracts diverse bird life and hosts over 130 Black and White rhino. Dinner and overnight Lewa Safari Camp.
Day 4: Road Transfer Lewa to Shaba Game Reserve ( 1 hour)
After an early morning game drive, we go back to the lodge for a late breakfast and check out. We depart the Sanctuary with an en route game drive, heading north-eastwards to Shaba National Reserve away, arriving in time for lunch at the Joys Camp.
The camp is built on the site of Joy Adamson’s tented home in Shaba National Reserve. The camp overlooks a large natural spring where elephant and lion jostle for watering rights with herds of buffalo and the rare desert species of Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra.
Only 10 guest tents, each 100sq m sumptuous tent is uniquely decorated with handmade glass and the vibrant fabrics of the local nomadic tribes creating a chic, sophisticated and stylish camp. Each tent has its own private veranda, ideal for game viewing, as well as relaxing, reading and soaking up the truly wild environs offered by Shaba. The camp has a swimming pool, well-being facilities, and a shop.
After a short afternoon rest we finally embark on a late afternoon game drive and drive back in the evening Joy’s Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Safari Activities at Shaba Game Reserve
We wake up for an early morning game drive and go back to the lodge for a late breakfast and leisure. This Game Reserve set by the extinct volcanic Shaba Mountain (1525M) and dotted with acacia, riverine and thorn trees in a dramatic savanna landscape is home to a variety of wildlife such as elephant, lion, cheetah, grevy’s zebra, giraffe, gerenuk, buffalo, oryx, grant’s gazelle, dik-dik, waterbuck and the rare leopard.
The forested areas along its life supporting river Uaso Nyiro provides an array of birdlife including the rare William’s Lark. This park is also known for its setting for the book and film, Born Free (about Elsa the lioness) authored by the late Joy and George Adamson. After lunch we embark on an afternoon game drive and go back to Joy’s Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Road Transfer Shaba to Ol Pejeta (2 hours)
After breakfast, depart southwards heading toward the Mount Kenya region. Lunch will be served at the Ol Pejeta House.
After lunch, we start with a visit to the chimps. Rescued from markets in Burundi by a top conservationist Ms Jane Goodall, the chimpanzee have found a safe refuge here and are multiplying in healthy numbers.
A visit to this conservancy should include Baraka, the blind and tame black rhino. The big five – Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino live in the conservation area as well as a host of herbivores and bird life. Dinner and overnight at Ol Pejeta House.
Day 7: Drive from Ol Pejeta to Lake Elementaita (2 hours)
After breakfast at the camp drive to Lake Elementaita in time for Lunch at Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy. a 48,000 acre Wildlife Conservancy, also a RAMSAR site – a wetland of international importance.
The Conservancy protects over 450 bird species and 15,000 wild animals. Rothschild giraffes have found a safe haven for breeding here, while a diverse variety of terrain shelters many species – from herds of giant elands to tiny dik-diks and cliff-dwelling klipspringers. Night game-drives offer a unique opportunity to spot nocturnal creatures including the curious-looking aardvark and elusive leopard. Walking is also allowed, with chances to experience the miracles of the bush close-up. Overnight at Lake Elementaita Serena camp.
Day 8: Road Transfer Lake Elementaita to Maasai Mara – 4 hours
Depart after breakfast and drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way you will have a distant view of Mt. Longonot , Mt. Margaret and the pyrethrum plantation. Dinner and overnight at Sand River Mara Camp.
Day 9: Day in Maasai Mara
Full day game activities in the Maasai Mara reserve. This is Kenya’s best and best-known wildlife sanctuary.
You are likely to see some of the over 400 species of animals have been recorded here. The Maasai Mara is particularly interesting in the months of July, August and September. At this time of the year, in addition to the resident Wildlife of the Mara, the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra from the neighboring Serengeti. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. You may arrange a visit to the local villages. Dinner and Overnight at Sand River Mara Camp.
Day 10: Fly Masai Mara to Serengeti
Today you take early breakfast and leave the camp for Tanzania. Enjoy a short game drive on the way to the airstrip. Board you flight to Migori Airstrip. Take a short, 20 minutes road transfer to the Kenya-Tanzania border at Isebania. After customs and immigration procedure, you will be met by another guide to take you on another short road transfer to Tarime airstrip. From here, board another flight taking you into Serengeti Game Reserve. With game drive en route, you will arrive Serengeti at around 1400 hours. Dinner and overnight Serengeti Migration Camp.
Serengeti National Park is one of the best-known wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and was recently declared as one of the seven natural wonders of Africa. The name comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains and is equal in size to Northern Ireland. The Park contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in seasonal migration which makes it one of natures’ wonders.
Day 11: Game Drives in Serengeti
Full day of game viewing activities, with optional of packed lunch or return to the lodge for Lunch and proceed with afternoon game drive in endless plains of Serengeti national Park till sunset.
The Serengeti covers an area of about 14763sq kms, with various vegetation, grassy plains, savannah acacia lands, wooden hills and mountains which are the backdrops for an extraordinary concentration of animals which reaches its peak during the wildebeest migration. It is said to be around 2 million of wildebeests in Serengeti that migrate every year from Massai Mara plains. Serengeti is among of the world’s remaining natural wildlife refuges. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Migration Camp.
Day 12: Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, depart Serengeti National Park driving to Ngorongoro Conservation area via Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains.
Continue driving to Ngorongoro to arrive for lunch. Dinner and overnight at The Manor At Ngorongoro.
Day 13: Tour of Ngorongoro Crater
Today will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a full day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.
Dinner and overnight at the Manor at Ngorongoro.
Day 14: Drive to Kilimanjaro via Arusha – Fly to Nairobi
After breakfast at the lodge depart for Arusha. Enjoy a hot lunch at a restaurant, then proceed to Kilimanjaro Airport for flight to Nairobi.
