Day 1: Arrival Nairobi
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met by Hallmark Travel Planner’ escort and transfer to the respective Nairobi hotel. Use of room is not guaranteed before noon.
Remainder of the day at leisure. At 19.00hrs, you go to the Carnivore Restaurant for dinner. Overnight at Tamarind Tree Hotel.
Day 2: Drive Nairobi – Amboseli
Breakfast at the Hotel. Early morning depart for drive along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway to Amboseli National Park, to arrive for lunch at the Amboseli AA Lodge.
With the various attractions that everyone wants to experience the thrill that comes from the game drives and watching animals in their territory, Amboseli National Park is a great place to visit. The National Park offers the one of the best African wildlife adventure experience when it comes to the wide range of wildlife species, as well as the spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is renowned for its large herds of elephants. Other animals in the park are; giraffes, buffalos, zebras, hyena, lions, cheetahs, impala and even jackals among others.
Late afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at Kilima Camp..
Day 3: Safari Activities in Amboseli
Early morning game drive. Breakfast. Morning at leisure. Lunch. 1630 hours game drive till sunset.
Dinner and overnight Amboseli AA Lodge.
Day 4: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru
Early breakfast at the lodge in Amboseli. After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes. Lunch on the way, most probably at the Rift Valley view point.
Afternoon proceed to Lake Nakuru for an afternoon game drive that runs till sunset. Check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight – Flamingo Hill Tented Lodge.
The Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the top tourist destinations in Africa, famed for the Flamingos, both lesser and greater, that flock to its shores to feed on the cyanobacteria that live in its alkaline waters. It is a very important breeding ground and stop over for many species of birds, and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At some times of the year, there can be between one and two million flamingos forming a big pink band around the edge of the Lake. The Park is home to one of the greatest concentrations of Black Rhino in the World, and also has a thriving population of White Rhino. It is also a sanctuary for the rare Rothschild Giraffe and is also one of the best places in Kenya to see Leopards.
Day 5 : Drive Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
After breakfast commence drive west past Mount Longonot and via Narok to the Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive for lunch at Mara River Camp.
Late afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner & overnight at Mara River Camp.
Day 6: Safari Activities in Masai Mara
Morning and late afternoon game viewing drives in this Reserve, with spectacular sceneries and diverse wildlife. All meals and overnight at Mara River Camp.
Located only three hundred Kilometers from Nairobi, the iconic Maasai Mara offers no less than one thousand five hundred and ten square kilometers of wild open savanna. It plays host to one of the modern day wonders of the world. All of the big five call the Maasai Mara home. Lions are easily spotted at the Mara. The beautiful Maasai people continue to graze their livestock in the wilderness ñ right alongside the wild beasts they have lived with for thousands of years. The Maasai Mara is part of an extensive eco system made up of eight large group ranches.
Day 7: Drive Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast at the Fig Tree Camp., embark on your return journey to Nairobi. On arrival in the early afternoon, you will be dropped off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for scheduled International departure flight.
