Day 1: Fly Nairobi – Loisaba Conservancy

You will be met at your hotel by  our Representative for a brief introduction to your safari and later transfer to Wilson airstrip for your flight to Loisaba. Flight departs at  0800 hours and arrives at 0855 hours. Upon arrival, you will be picked by your guide and transferred to Loisaba Tented Lodge.

Perched on the edge of an escarpment, Loisaba Tented Camp is designed to capitalize on unhindered views across Laikipia’s mottled landscape all the way to Mt Kenya. All accommodations and main areas enjoy a breathtaking vantage point over an expansive panorama.

African-themed sophistication and style is the flavour of Loisaba Tented Camp. Spacious and airy tents are custom-built with large floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, high ceilings and polished wood floors. The tent suites are adorned in chic Africana furniture with a modern European twist.

Day 2 and 3: Loisaba Wilderness Conservancy

Spend the days discovering Loisaba conservancy. Loisaba is approximately in the centre of the Laikipia district a vast plateau of over 9,500 sq. km bounded by the Rift Valley in the west, Mt. Kenya in the east, the Aberdare Range in the south and Samburu in the north.

The area is physically diverse and scenically spectacular with open grasslands, basalt hills, rock outcrops (kopjes) and dense forests drained by the Ewaso Nyiro and Ewaso Narok rivers. Large tracts of the land are dedicated to cattle rearing on large commercial ranches or community owned rangelands. However in recent years many communities have combined with ranchers to create conservation and wildlife havens under the umbrella of the Laikipia Wildlife Forum so that man and nature can live in harmony.

A major attraction of Laikipia is its diversity in scenery‚ wildlife and the climate. However as it is not a National Park there is also the opportunity for the visitor to go on walking‚ horseback or camel safaris or go fishing and‚ for the more adventurous and active‚ river rafting‚ climbing and mountain biking.  Dinner and overnight at Loisaba Tented Camp.

Day 4: Fly from Loisaba to Nairobi

You will be treated to a final early morning game drive in this vast conservancy. Return to your lodge for breakfast after which you will be transferred to the local air strip for a scheduled flight back to Nairobi.  Flight departs Loisaba at 0900 hours to arrive Nairobi at 1100 hours, from where you transfer to your hotel in Nairobi.
